LinkedIn is an amazing way to connect with valuable members of your community that may donate, volunteer, or even work for your organization. First, you’ll want to create a LinkedIn profile page that people can follow for news and updates. Posting often and remaining active in the eyes of your group members and followers is another key to extending your online reach.

LinkedIn also offers a ‘Basics for Nonprofits’ page to help new users gain the value the LinkedIn can offer. There are four steps to their guide:

  1. Get started by building your presence (page) and building your network (connections).
  2. Find employees that can help make your mission happen. This involves posting a job posting that includes position title and responsibilities, boosting your organization’s recruiting abilities, and accelerating your hiring efforts.
  3. Find skilled volunteers and board members
  4. Elevating your fundraising efforts with premium tools and a list of simple steps to get started.
